Money, funny?
To many not
To others, a lot
Is never enough
Cup
Never filled,
Half empty
Half full?
Some desire
All, all, ALL
Needles? Perhaps
Dangerous? No doubt
When drought meets the living
Who will be giving?
There's no doubt that this verse demonstrates human obsession with power; the un-tethered relationship of man and money. But will western civilisation destroy itself with this obsession? Whilst there is no definitive answer to this fundamental question, it is clear that there is no set of rules; 'to many' money is paramount, 'to others' there is little desire for this superficial construct of unjust consequence. This wouldn't have been inspired by the song 'Money' at all, would it..?
